Identify and/or coordinate resources (volunteers, inventory, etc.) for execution for department administrative projects.

Create and maintain confidential donor prospect records in hard copy and electronic formats.

Provide front-line customer service, including intake of donor inquiries, processing customer service issues generated via web or store, and direct follow-up with donors.

Proactively update constituent/donor information to match SFJAZZ business conventions.Work with the Development team to properly implement new campaigns, appeals and opportunities. Research new donation channels or tools to expand SFJAZZ’s giving opportunities, including online giving.Track and follow-up on all employer matching gift requests.Work with Donor Services Coordinator on monthly reconciliation. Serve as daily liaison to Finance Department to ensure proper coding, prompt entry and reconciliation of gifts.Route all gifts and pledge received to department staff for proper coding, providing additional gift transmittal documents and background information if necessary.Provide supporting information to senior management for personalized acknowledgement and donation-related correspondence. Prepare acknowledgement letters for all donations, pledges, LOIs on a regulation basis as determined by the gift officers.Enter data for all individual and institutional donations and other transition-related correspondence.While based in the SFJAZZ fundraising department, this position is also an excellent introduction to nonprofit finance and customer service principles.

The Donor Services Assistant – Gift Entry reports to the Senior Manger, Membership, and provides assistance to the full Development Department in making sure the Donor Services operation runs smoothly and meets growth goals outlines in organizational planning.
